10-14 “I’m shrinking…I’m shrinking”

October 14, 2009

Do you remember the lines “I’m shrinking…I’m shrinking” from the wizard of Oz?  I am adopting those words as my motto.  I am really liking the new me.  This week I lost 1.5 pounds but I ate 5 slices of pizza at CiCi’s, we ate at a Chinese buffet and I even had the peach cobbler!  I still lost weight!  I pulled out last year’s winter closes… way to big! Yea!  Then I dug into my someday clothes (you know the ones I stored away years ago as someday I will wear them again).  Yes they do fit.  I have 3 new pairs of jeans, lots of top and even new PJ’s.

If you have ever struggled to reduce your size, you have to try this program.  You will be total amazed.

Update-stardate 9-22-09

September 23, 2009

Hello my supporters.  Thanks for being here when I need you. I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate all of you.

It’s been a while since my last update and I wanted to share how great I feel.  If someone had told me how great I would feel if I dropped 45 pounds, I wouldn’t have believed them.  But it’s not just the drop in weight as much as regaining my health.  All my blood work test came back better than normal.  No high cholesterol at all!  It was over 200.  Things I can do now that I couldn’t do in March of this year:

Run up and down our stairs…multiple times!

Bend over to put on my pants without holding onto something.

Running around with the grandkids and not huffing and puffing after a few minutes.

Sitting in a chair and bending over to pick something off the floor.  My big belly is no longer in the way!

Getting into my “someday drawer”.  I am wearing clothes I haven’t worn since 95’.

My carpel tunnel is so much improved.  I think I can drive again! I have been restricted to drive no more than 15 min. as I lose the feeling in my hands and can’t control the car.

My list goes on and on…  I love this program.  I can’t believe how wonderful I feel and don’t understand why anyone would rather struggle with diets when simply detoxing gives you the benefits of dropping weight and most important, gaining your health.  I’m guessing they just don’t know about Isagenix.  If you or anyone you know is or has struggled with a weight problem, tell them to contact me or go directly to http://www.drspeaksout.com  to hear the truth.

Have you watched my video.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhvK9KAipq4

Love  you all.  Blessings to all of you.

F.A.Q.-What’s The Best Weight Loss Program On The Market?

August 24, 2009
My Before Photo

My Before Photo

Often I’m asked; “What is the best weight loss program on the market?”  Honestly, that’s sort of a loaded question – in my opinion there truthfully is no complete best weight loss program that’s going to work equally for everybody in meeting his or her weight loss goals. The best you can really do is investigate all of the options presented (and there are a lot of them, believe I’ve tried most of them.) and make your mind up which one best fits your everyday life and needs. This is a key, because if it doesn’t fit your lifestyle or needs you’re not going to follow it, no matter how well it may work.

Diet programs are one of the leading businesses out there. While it’s true that many of these companies are dedicated to helping you drop a few pounds, others are just in it for a quick dollar. Before you get on on any diet program, make certain you read up on it. There’s tons of information available just do a Google search at any time. Look up reviews and testimonials by clients and professionals, as well as facts from science and health organizations to make positive that the product you’re getting is as effective and safe as it claims.

In addition to doing your own study, you should visit your own physician to agree on if you are healthy enough to begin any diet program. In some cases you may learn there is an underlying sickness or disease, which is causing your weight increase. Once your doctor has given you a clean bill of health, then you can move ahead in your diet plans.

Many people have suggested one or another program as the best weight loss program on the market today. Weight Watchers has one of the highest long-term success rates of any diet plan that you can find. It’s also relatively inexpensive compared to many consumer diet choices, making it available to just about anyone, but many say it’s difficult to follow. Others claim that consumer diet (prepackaged meals) programs are the best and easiest to follow, but are costly.

If you’ve ever gone out to dinner with a buddy who says, “Oh, I can’t eat that, it’s too many points,” there’s a good chance they were on Weight Watchers.  Weight Watchers assigns every food a point value (calorie count) and provides a list of how many points can be devoured each day. This is supposed to allow people to make smart choices about the food they eat on the run.

The biggest complaint of Weight Watchers is that they over-simplify the nutritional importance of food by using the point system. They claim that it doesn’t always cause healthier eating, it just squeezes every last calorie out of each point. In spite of that, Weight Watchers has a great success rate.

Some other very popular diet plans are Jenny Craig and Slim Fast. These plans use prepackaged foods and diet shakes as part of the plan. This can be very simple to use for busy people without time to prepare healthier nutritious meals, but it’s also said by some to be a very expensive option, to purchase, receive and store the products you need. Not to mention, all those plain shakes can get a little boring after awhile!

If you are searching for a little more flexibility in choosing a weight loss program, there is a lot of informational websites to turn to. Some of these sites actually compile multiple types of diets all in one place, so you can do a comparison of each diet. You’ll find others that share customer testimonials and personal weight loss stories. Some offer online and offline support to help keep you focused on your diet as well as live conference calls to share information. A few like the one I’m using not only offers all that it also offers a money-back satisfaction guarantee. You can be sure to find the best weight loss program to fit your specific needs and weight loss goals on one of these sites.

Update 8-18-09

August 22, 2009

I know it has been a while but I am still working on my health and weight. I’ve been doing all the stuff I know I should..exercising …drinking my water..eating healthy but I have hit a plateau. With all the other programs I’ve been on this was a real problem and actually what took me out of whatever program I was on. I didn’t think a plateau would happen with my current health and wellness program, but it has. For about a month now I have lost very little weight. I’ve been doing some reading and decided to shake things up a bit and get my metabolism a boost. I am stopping my weekly juice days and now doing a daily juice detox program. I have also read that sometimes a metabolism has a difficult time with starch and protein in the same meal. So I am no longer combining these food groups in a meal. So if I have spaghetti, there is no meat sauce. Just a tomato sauce. I am not going to quit. I will succeed it just may take a little longer than I wanted. Thus far I have lost 38+ pounds and 52 inches. And that is certainly better than where I started.

Thanks for all your support.

As of 7-21

July 24, 2009

I’m down another 2 pounds this week. I am only 3 tenths away from my BMI scale to move from obese to overweight. Next week I’ll be there for sure. You got to love this program. It is easy, I get to eat what I want, and I lose weight. How great is that?

Thanks for all your support!

18 weeks on my program

July 7, 2009

Today marks 18 weeks on my program.  This past week I lost almost 3 pounds.  I have continued to exercise and drink my water and eat within my plan.  I still believe this is the easiest way I have ever lost weight.  I am really amazed that I can eat out at my favorite restaurants, eat snacks and still lose the weight.  I love love love the protein shakes.  And it gets better.. they improved the protein shakes.  I just ordered mine and they should arrive is a few days.  Today is also picture day.  Will keep you all updated.

The links below will give you lots of info plus this new one we just started.  http://moretips4health.wordpress.com Check it out.  You like us, will be amazed at what you can learn. I’ve noticed a lot lately, both on-line and offline  about Raw Food Diets. Now I’m all for eating healthy, but I think there is a misconceptions over the quality of the fruits and veggies available today.  I know there are misconceptions, even deceptions on the labeling of organic foods, so that will next on moretips4health.

More later… keep in touch

Day 111 and I Can’t Believe I Haven’t Posted

June 24, 2009
Here's what happened

Here's what happened

I have to apologise to you all for not posting for so long, but this is what happened.  In the middle of May I finally got brave enough to post my fat beginning picture along with my 60 day photo and that’s when everything went absolutely crazy in my life. It seems like anyone and everyone that seen or heard of my photos began to call and email me with one question.

Their question was: “What are you doing and can I do it too?” My answer was the simple  truth; “I drink this stuff every day and exercise a little.” To which they asked; “Can I drink it too?”  Needless to say I now have over thirty people following me in the program, all having great results, all much better than mine.

Day 62

May 6, 2009

I lost 3.4 pounds this week. That brings my total to over 20 pounds since I began this process. I have lost one dress size and 2 bra sizes. Yea!!!

I will keep on going till I reach my goal. Thanks for all your support. I continue to eat within my calorie range, exercise, and drink my water. I am so excited with my progress. I was looking at the progress I had with JC in 8 weeks. It was about the same, although I was 20 years younger and my metabolism was a lot more than it is today. This program is easier to follow and cost a lot less. It’s also something I can share with Ken. With JC it was all about me. This program, Ken is enjoying with me even though he doesn’t have the weight to lose.

Thanks again for sticking with me in this. You are the best!

Day 55

April 29, 2009

Yesterday was our nutritional fasting day. Each week I have a different experience.  One would think that they should all be the same but they are not.  Today I am feeling a little light headed and weak.  The book I am reading said this is because my brain is detoxifying.  According to the book I am reading, the brain is 60% fat.  I didn’t know this but I guess this why some people call others “fat heads”  LOL.  Anyway, toxins are stored in the fat tissues so lots of toxins are in my brain and as I detoxify, I feel light headed. There seems to be an explanation for everything.  I really enjoy the book.  I think everyone should read it.  Again it is ‘Toxic Relief’ by Don Colbert, MD.

I lost a ½ pound this week.  I was a little disappointed as my loss to this date has been more each week.  But my muscles are growing.  I took my measurements today as well.  The total was the same as the last time but some area’s were less some were more but they totaled the same.  So I can see the shift in my body.  I am really looking forward to the day I can buy all new clothes and throw all the old ones away.  I have started throwing some away but not as much as I would like to.

 Diane

53 days now !

April 26, 2009

Everything is going very well.  I have introduced some new foods into my weight loss program, tomato soup and a protein bar.  The protein bar is called chocolate dipped honey peanut and tastes as good as it sounds.  The tomato soup is very thick and spicy.   I don’t mind the spicy but it is so thick it doesn’t drip off my spoon so I added more water to the mix.  I also put in 6 non fat crackers.  So this week I have mixed things up a little.  Still have my protein shakes, which I love, but on some days I have replaced with the protein bar and soup.

Friday I did something I have been talking about for weeks.  We went to Barnes and Nobles.  I haven’t been to a book store in months!  In our town there is no book store of any kind even though we do have a college.  The B and N I visited in Arlington has moved and I don’t know where.  I keep forgetting to ask my daughter.  I’m sure she knows where it is located.  Anyway, we found a B and N in Ft. Worth.  So we stopped for a hour or so.  Of course I had to check out the diet and food section.  I was amazed at all the books I found on detoxification.  I glanced at several and finally bought ‘Toxic Relief’ by Don Colbert, MD.  I just started reading it but I know I’m going to like it.  His program is similar to the one I am following with the weekly fasting.  He tells of the different types of fasting and what he recommends to detoxify your body.  I let you know all the exciting tips I find out.

I know I have been lax in my daily email but mostly every day is about the same.  I still have some challenges but I as working through them.  It has been 53 days now and I have not had 1 potato chip or ice cream.  Those were always my down fall.  I do have cravings for chips but I turn away from them.  I wonder if the cravings will ever go away.

Will write more soon.   Love to all.
